ECE302 Leadership and Advocacy in Early Childhood Contexts
This unit prepares students for leadership roles in prior to school and compulsory early childhood education and care settings. The unit introduces theories of leadership, management and administration. In addition the unit investigates leadership in early childhood contexts in relation to governance, engagement with families and community, Indigenous knowledge practices, ethics and ethical dilemmas, and advocacy. Students are given opportunities to analyse and critique these key ideas to inform their own philosophy and practice of professional identity and leadership.
