ECE512 - Assessment for Learning and Curricula
This unit introduces preservice teachers to the use of data in teaching with a focus on assessment for learning and of learning. It includes why data is important to the work of teachers and how it links to teaching as a research-informed practice. In this unit preservice teachers will develop the skills and understandings of collecting, selecting, analysing and using data for planning and assessment in their teaching. In particular, preservice teachers will deepen their ability to justify and evaluate their decision-making for differentiation and pedagogical strategies based on both research and the data for a specific cohort.
