ECM311 - Secondary Health and Physical Education 1
This unit allows preservice teachers to investigate information about a variety of physical and performance activities in the core learning areas of junior secondary health and physical education. The framework and philosophy of the Australian Curriculum in Health and Physical Education: Personal, Social and Community Health, and Movement and Physical Activity are used to create this unit. Preservice teachers will investigate and evaluate several sports and physical activity teaching and coaching methodologies. Preservice teachers will also investigate current youth concerns like gender, drugs, and sexual health, as well as the impact of community and population on adolescents.
