ECU250 - Performing Arts in Primary School
This unit is designed to develop preservice teachers' theoretical and practical skills in teaching performing arts to primary school students. Drawing on the Australian Curriculum: The Arts, preservice teachers will develop an understanding of the performing arts areas: music, drama, and dance. Engaging in various learning experiences, which model how the brain learns, will enable preservice teachers to critically review, synthesise and apply cognitive, pedagogical, and communicative skills. Preservice teachers will also develop skills in managing art-based classroom activities to support students' wellbeing and safety.
