EMA141 - Numeracy Education

The unit will develop student' mathematical knowledge in number, algebra, measurement, space, statistics and probability as well as build appropriate skills for mathematical problem-solving. Preservice teachers will develop mathematical knowledge, personal mathematical proficiency and the capacity to build positive attitudes towards the teaching and learning of numeracy. The content areas are explored progressively from foundational concepts.
