ENG223 Electrical Circuit Analysis
This unit will provide the tools and techniques to design and analyse electric circuits and networks. The following topics will be covered: review of Kirchhoff's laws and Thevenin & Norton theories, first-order circuits, second-order circuits, Laplace transform, circuit analysis in the s-domain, impulse functions, transfer function, Bode diagrams, poles and zeros of network functions, two-port network; AC circuit theory, RMS values, phasors; power: mean, active, reactive and apparent, power factor; complex impedance and power diagrams, balanced and unbalanced three phase systems.
This unit is reliant on on-line materials including electronic submission of assessment items. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection and a scanner.
