It covers the following topics: introduction to biomedical engineering, anatomy and physiology, bioelectric phenomena, biomedical sensors, bioinstrumentation, bio-signal processing, physiological modelling, cardiovascular mechanics, biomaterials, tissue engineering, radiation imaging, ultrasound, nuclear magnetic resonance, biomedical optics and lasers, rehabilitation and assistive technology, moral and ethical issues.
