ENG466 Design of Concrete Structures

The unit provides extensive understanding of the methods and calculations involved in designing reinforced concrete elements as per AS3600. It includes load conditions and properties of materials applicable for reinforced concrete design. Design of structural elements such as Beams, Columns, Slabs, Footings and Retaining walls as per AS3600. Implications and code conditions for fire, creep and shrinkage. The unit includes the critical evaluation of different design methods and integration of knowledge to practical applications.
