ENG564 Geotechnical Engineering
This unit introduces students to advanced shear strength and consolidation concepts; further analytical and numerical analysis techniques for foundations; slope stability; and geotechnical engineering processes. The unit links to, and draws upon, the engineering aspects of design, construction management, construction health and safety, sustainability, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics, statics, and dynamics.
This unit is reliant on on-line materials. Students must have reliable access to a high-speed broadband internet connection for multimedia materials.
