EPE210 Professional Experience: Learner Development
This unit provides student teachers with `tools' for designing and delivering learning sequences to achieve student-learning outcomes in schools and educational settings. There is a focus on evaluation and assessment, emphasizing how it informs teaching and learning in classrooms. It makes explicit the concepts of formative and summative assessment, and explores reporting practices in schools.
In-school experience:
This unit has associated professional experience of 25 days that is spent in a school and is the 2nd professional experience in a sequence of 3 for this course. As placement schools are mostly Australian based, students enrolled in this unit must provide a current police check/working with children card to the school and CDU Professional Experience Office prior to the commencement of the professional experience.
The 25 days professional experience includes at least a two week block incorporating solid/fulltime teaching (Monday to Friday) and planning and teaching a sequence/unit of work with a focus on teaching methodologies.
