ESC302 - Primary Science Education 2

The focus of this unit is the development of preservice teachers' skills in teaching Physical and Earth and Space sciences. Preservice teachers will gain an understanding of forces, matter, energy, and motion and an understanding of the Earth's dynamic structure and its place in the cosmos. Embedded in this unit is scientific inquiry and communication from which preservice teachers will plan and develop learning experiences that will enhance their repertoire of teaching strategies, pedagogical content knowledge, formative and summative assessment strategies, and management skills, appropriate for year-level primary school students.
