This unit will build on content knowledge and understandings developed in ETL201 and translate them into practice in relation to common middle school pedagogical approaches and the Australian National Curriculum for middle school years. The unit will strengthen student skills and ability to think critically, creatively and constructively when designing and facilitating middle school curriculum. Students will demonstrate the developing knowledge and understanding of middle school philosophy, theories and pedagogies by applying them to the design and development of a unit of work in line with requirements of the Australian National Curriculum.
