HEA525 Emotional Intelligence in Practice

Students will develop a deeper knowledge of emotional intelligence (EI) and how it applies to clinical and broader professional practice. It is expected that learners will initially reflect upon their current understanding of this construct and then through reading the scholarly literature, critically review emotional intelligence. In doing so, learners will develop an understanding of how EI can potentially shape the nursing profession at both a local and global level. Students will also explore ways in which they can enhance their own practice by utilising their acquired knowledge of EI.
