HEA553 Child and Family Health Specialty Clinical Practice
This unit maximizes learning and assists in the development of essential knowledge and skills, applying these with children aged 0-5 years and their families. This unit includes the assessment of physical and cognitive growth and development in early childhood supporting parents in communicating with their child, infant feeding, breastfeeding promotion and managing common issues experienced by families such as sleep patterns in the newborn.
This unit includes the completion of the Healthy Under 5 kid's package and has a 1 week mandatory skills intensive.
It also contains 20 days Clinical Practice working in industry.
