HEA593 - Developing Practice in Child and Family Health
This unit focuses on supporting parents in the sometimes-challenging role of parenthood. In this unit, students will apply health assessments and gain knowledge of clinical deviations within a practice setting. Assessment of safety, along with health and development of children and the families wellbeing will be explored.
Student will enhance their critical thinking, problem solving and reflective practice to meet their learning goals. Students will discuss safe sleep practices and manage sleep and behavioural difficulties. Students will investigate the importance of childhood immunisation and how to advocate for full immunisation with parents.
