HRM304 Negotiation, Bargaining and Advocacy
In this undergraduate unit, students develop an understanding of the role of negotiation and bargaining in the workplace. Students will examine the contextual and regulatory frameworks that shape negotiation, bargaining and advocacy practice and be given the opportunity to develop their skills in negotiation by participating in team based activities that highlight the importance of judgement and strategy in negotiation. Students will be introduced to the practices and processes of negotiation and advocacy used in Australian industrial relations, building on their understanding of the Australian Industrial Relations system.
