HSC119 - Counselling Theory and Micro Skills
This unit provides students an introduction in to the theory and basic micro skills of counselling.
The unit focusses on the personal, professional and ethical aspects of promoting good mental health and well-being in professional helping roles.
Students will develop a range of effective counselling micro skills, drawing upon person-centered counselling practices, and have the opportunity to implement these skills and provide practice and receive feedback through simulated work integrated activities.
