HSC233 - Epidemiology and Statistics
This unit will provide students with an understanding of epidemiology and statistics and their application in health research, and policy locally and globally. Exploration of epidemiology includes concepts associated with disease causation, patterns of disease and review of biostatistical methods and their reasons for use. Learning of statistics will develop skills and understanding of basic statistical analysis methods, with hands-on experience analysing epidemiological data. The course is available to internal and external students and assistance will be available through tutorial activities and online help.
