HSC318 Rural and Remote Health
This is a specialist elective unit in the Bachelor of Health Sciences for the Health Promotion, Community Health Development and Health Services Management streams. It provides an overview of remote healthcare environments in Australia and focuses on workforce development and health service delivery in remote settings. Key influences such as geographical isolation, and environmental, sociological and cultural challenges are explored and critiqued.
