IAS322 - Research With Indigenous People
This unit explores the relationship between Indigenous people and the academic research process and provides students with an awareness and introductory knowledge of research with Indigenous people in ways that are respectful of Indigenous knowledge systems. A knowledge and understanding of the perspectives Indigenous people in Australia have on academic research is examined for the implications it has on contemporary research processes in the academy and the development of generative and long term research relationships.
