Indigenous researchers' practice is guided by a rich heritage and philosophy that governs processes and principles of knowledge creation, negotiation and exchange. In this unit students will draw upon that heritage and philosophy to describe and analyse the research practices they use in the context of research work in their community. Students will map a range of culturally responsive research practices and draw links between their practice and the principles that guide their research and explore strategies for developing effective, appropriate and culturally respectful ways of articulating their research practices to others.
