INI320 - Major Issues in Contemporary Indonesia

This unit extends students' knowledge of Indonesia, in particular focusing on the major issues confronting contemporary Indonesian society. Through written and audio-visual materials, students will gain an insight into the historical, socio-cultural, economic and political factors that influence the lives of the country's inhabitants. Through modules dealing with, for example, power and forms of government, globalisation and environment, and security and terror, at the completion of this unit, students will have a comprehensive grounding on the major contemporary issues that Indonesia faces.
