LWA213 - Family Law
This unit will focus upon Australian family law and the determination of disputes arising under the Family Law Act 1975 (Cth) as amended. Topics considered in this unit include:
- The constitutional background to the Act
- Marriage and the dissolution of marriage
- Disputes involving children (parentage, residence and contact)
- The alteration of property interests between spouses and de facto couple
The unit will include a comparative transnational and/or comparative component, where appropriate.
