This unit provides students with a foundation for the theoretical concepts and principles for midwifery practice in pregnancy. Students deepen their knowledge and understanding of pregnancy and childbirth as normal physiological processes and explore the different ways in which pregnancy and childbirth change peoples' lives. Topics include: Antenatal care, processes of labour and birth and associated care.
