MID302 Healthy Childbearing 3

The purpose of this unit is to provide the theory required to provide holistic, woman-centred care to women from diverse backgrounds within a continuity of care model. Using a case study approach, students will learn to work collaboratively with other members of the health care team and health care providers referring women to appropriate community agencies and support networks. Students will be encouraged to develop their own support networks. Content will include models of care, ante and post natal education and referral guidelines.
