MLS202 - Haematology 2
This unit builds on the knowledge from previous study in normal and abnormal red and white cell pathology and platelet structure and function. Students will examine the haematological diseases, developing an understanding of anaemias, leukaemias and coagulation disorders. Practical activities will provide students with the skills to prepare and examine peripheral blood films for laboratory diagnosis, ensuring the safe handling of blood and knowledge of the decontamination procedures.
