MLS245 Medical Biochemistry
This unit will develop the students' knowledge of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids and the functioning of enzymes and energy production cycles in multiple body functions. They will describe and understand the different biochemical pathways for carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acid synthesis and their interactions, together with these pathways' interactions with iatrogenic compounds.
