This unit examines the construction and nature of research data and the role it plays in clinical decision-making. It aims to facilitate the development of working knowledge of research and evidence-based practice for application across health disciplines. Students will explore the process of critical inquiry and research paradigms. Students will use the Australian healthcare system and their health discipline to advance their knowledge of research processes, including data collection and reporting.
This unit will expand knowledge and skills in critical reflection to assist in identifying, accessing and evaluating clinically relevant literature and other forms of evidence to inform own clinical practice.
