NUR512 - Assess, Examine, Investigate and Diagnose B

This unit will further students in their journey to become a Nurse Practitioner (NP). This unit will emphasise diagnostic reasoning and applying the principles of hypothetical deductive reasoning. During the diagnostic reasoning, differential diagnoses will be rejected and diagnosis confirmed. The NP student will develop a holistic management plan for the person receiving care. While developing the plan and prescribing treatment, students will educate and support others to enable their active participation in the care.

This unit includes an intensive week and the remainder of the coursework is offered externally and requires online learning throughout the unit. The intensive week is compulsory, and students are expected to meet all costs for travel and accommodation in relation to this.

This unit is only available to students enrolled in the Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) SNNP01.
