This unit will focus on the kidney's anatomy, specifically the glomerular structures, physiological function and associated pathophysiology changes in respect to autoregulation, metabolic waste removal and hormone production. The importance of dose adjustment of some specific types of medications and their physiologic effect and influence on the kidney will discussed.
