This unit equips you with the skills to critically engage with research and evidence-based practice to improve nursing care. You will explore methods of reviewing, analysing, and synthesising research literature to address key practice issues. The unit covers models of research translation, focusing on how research can be applied effectively in diverse clinical settings. Ethical considerations in research and practice change will also be examined. Through this unit, you will develop an evidence framework to advocate for practice changes in nursing, and consider the implications for resources, care delivery, and clinical outcomes. An emphasis is placed on critical thinking and the application of research to enhance patient care in real-world environments.
