NUT504 Food, Society and Environment
This unit provides students with an understanding of the socio-cultural, historical, geographic, environmental, and political factors influencing contemporary food systems. A critical appreciation of the factors influencing food choice is different populations locally and globally with particular reference to Indigenous peoples' foodway will be developed. Issues of environmental sustainability and planetary health in food systems will be explored.
