A study of therapeutic principles to form a basis for developing clinical knowledge and skills in the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
The course material is designed to develop an understanding of clinical pharmacology, disease states and the therapeutic principles in their management. Treatment strategies will include non-drug and complementary treatments where appropriate.
Topics include: disease processes and therapeutic principles in the management of diseases involving the following systems; cardiovascular, respiratory, muscular skeletal, renal and sex related conditions.
