PHA502 - Applied Pharmacotherapy in Patient Care A
In this unit, students will explore the pathophysiology of the cardiovascular, renal, and gastrointestinal systems. The pharmacology of medicines will be covered and applied to these systems as a basis for dispensing and counselling on these medicines. Students will develop medicine management plans to provide patient-centred care within the ethical, legal, and professional framework. They will expand their triage and communication skills to provide over-the-counter medicine, education, and/or lifestyle advice as required.
