PHM301 - Exploring Public Health
This unit will explore the major events that have shaped the 'new public health' approach, how to measure and describe the health of populations, focusing on health inequalities and understanding the impact of the determinants of health on Australian Indigenous people. Students will critique system and policy responses to the health inequities experienced by Australian Indigenous people. It will provide an important foundation for future study and a career in public health.
