PHM570 Epidemiology and Control of Communicable Disease

This unit is relevant to students interested in extending their skills and knowledge in epidemiology, relevant to the major infectious diseases of humans. It will introduce strategies for communicable disease control and surveillance, and methods for determining and interpreting normal epidemiological and numerical measurements for communicable diseases. Students who are planning to work in remote Australia or international health are advised to include this unit in their elective choices.
