PRT520 - Principles of Computing Systems
This unit provides students with an overview of the applications of Information Technology (IT), the historical perspectives and fundamental concepts of computation. They will learn the principles and techniques behind hardware and software systems and identify related ethical issues.
Students will be exposed to how IT relates to other computing disciplines. Students will be exposed to both computer and systems' architecture, with an overall focus on the services and capabilities that IT infrastructure solutions enable in an organizational context.
