PRT551 Project Management Risk and Reliability
This unit deals with tools and techniques of contemporary project management, risk and reliability of systems.
It covers the following topics:
Project Management: critical path analysis; risk analysis basics and time buffer calculations; budgeting and costing; project plan review; project execution; project change; achieving closure;
Risk and Reliability: definition of risk and reliability; dealing with uncertainty; reliability of simple systems, event trees and fault tree analysis, failure mode and effect analysis, estimation of reliability parameters, treatment of risk and uncertainty in project appraisal.
This unit is reliant on on-line materials including electronic submission of assessment items. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection and a scanner.
