This unit teaches the students about the theories and various applications to implement recent progresses in deep learning. This unit introduces the different optimisation techniques for training deep neural networks. It highlights progresses to complex concepts such as recurrent neural networks, convolutional networks, and long short-term networks focusing on the applications of deep learning in computer vision and audio and videos.
