PSY203 Developmental Psychology Across the Lifespan

 

This unit gives an advanced level of treatment to issues in development psychology. It concentrates on social development across the lifespan. Topics examined include the role of early experiences and effects of social deprivation on development; social development in adolescence and adulthood; adult development of self-concept and self-esteem; and community attitudes towards aging. Methodological issues in developmental psychology will also be examined.
