Further to developing skills in relation to a normal delivery and a newborn, students will also develop competencies in dealing with the unique anatomical and physiological aspects of this group of patients in a prehospital setting. This unit also introduces students to skills in the unique emotional aspects that are inherent when dealing with small children and their carers.
Students will be required to attend a compulsory on campus intensive.
