This unit, together with SMA101, covers a range of foundation topics in algebra and calculus as needed for science, engineering and other disciplines. Topics cover the following in calculus: differential and integral calculus, integration for volume and surface areas, numerical methods for integration, sequences and series. The following topics are covered in linear algebra: linear transformations, real and complex vector spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
