SPE261 Functional Anatomy
This unit provides ongoing study of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems in relation to their function and dysfunction in human movement. It addresses mechanical properties of bones, ligaments tendons and neural and muscle tissue. It provides students with a comprehensive overview of joint anatomy and functional musculoskeletal anatomy of the limbs and trunk. In addition to normal function in human movement, it also covers mechanisms of and adaptations to common injuries and basic rehabilitation concepts.
