SPE262 - Functional Anatomy
|
In this unit, students will explore the intricate details of the musculoskeletal system and fundamental neuromuscular concepts. Students will identify and describe tissue properties within the musculoskeletal system, along with key neuromuscular concepts, classify and describe factors affecting force, stability, posture, and function within the musculoskeletal system, enhancing their ability to analyse movement and function. Students will learn to discriminate between normal neuromuscular factors and those that may lead to injury, developing critical skills in injury prevention. Through a combination of theoretical study and movement analysis, students will emerge from this unit with a deep understanding of functional anatomy and its applications in exercise science and allied health fields.
