This unit provides students with the knowledge and skill to develop an annual training program to build peak athletic performance for a sporting event. Students will incorporate physical assessments, physiological and psychological assessments and interventions and adjustments of intensity and volume of training to build an appropriate training program that will include strategies to balance training load and recovery to reduce the risk of overuse and over training.
