This unit will introduce students to the broad field of Group Work practice in the Human Services. It will explore the powerful influence groups have, the different types of Group Work, its technical dynamics, and its ability as a medium for harnessing group strengths.
The unit purpose is to enable an understanding of the nature of group work, its theoretical models and to use it responsively and creatively within the field of Human Services.
