SWK430 - Field Education B
This unit is the second of two field placements to be undertaken by students during the four year Bachelor of Social Work program at CDU. In this unit students will advance their skills and knowledge within a practice setting by exposure to and participation in areas of social work practice in human service organisations. The placement is 500 hours long. Students taking this unit will continue to integrate theory and practice demonstrating an increasing level of accountability, autonomy and initiative within the workplace. Students will further develop their professional social work identity within the agency and the implications of their role, together with a consideration of the political, social and economic factors which impinge on the agency. SWK430 prepares students for entry into the workforce as a social work graduate.
