This capstone unit provides students with their second field education experience that focuses on achieving learning outcomes according to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) practice standards. The unit is constructively aligned to ensure the field education experience integrates classroom learning with real practice contexts in collaboration with Charles Darwin University, the student, placement providers and supervisors. Students will be required to complete 500 hours of placement time in a direct practice role in Australia involving integration of advanced knowledge and skills in preparation for entry into the workforce as a social work graduate. Students will be expected to pay for their placement related expenses such as transport and accommodation.
