Hopefully by now, as we head on into week 4 of Semester one, 2016, you’ve got all your textbooks, and are familiar with the what, where, when and who of the zoo. By now, you’ve also no doubt headed on into the CDU Bookshop to see our friendly staff and order your textbooks. But did you know there’s so much more to CDU bookshop than just books. Did you know we can actually make your on campus life easier? Well we can, and here’s how:
- We are a great resource. All of our bookshop staff have either studied at university before or are currently studying. So we’re familiar with the challenges and opportunities associated with adult learning. We can help you find that prescribed text, tell you what equipment you’ll need for your trade course and so much more. We are a wealth of information!
- We’ll save you a trip to the supermarket or chemist. You may not know, but CDU Bookshop stocks a wide range of toiletries, pain relief, sunscreen, and other essentials for when you get caught short. You won’t need to leave campus.
- You can plan your trip away over the break. If you’re planning on travelling over semester break, we can help with you a massive range of Lonely Planet travel guides, travel accessories and much more.
- You can grab a book for pleasure. As well as stocking the complete range of required texts, CDU Bookshop also has a good range of top fiction and literary books you can curl up with. Take a break from your texts and take your mind on an adventure!
- We can help you with guides and resources. Not sure how to write essays? Or unsure of correct referencing protocols? We’ve got a huge range of resources to help you learn, study and write better
- We can help you get ready for graduation. If you’re graduating this year, Congratulations! Make your learning journey a memorable one and grab graduation memorabilia or CDU merchandise to remind you of your time at CDU.
- Forgotten so and so’s birthday? No worries. If you’ve just realised that today is your friend’s/brother’s/sister’s/ nieces or nephews birthday and don’t have time to shop for a gift in between lectures, don’t fret. We’ve got gift cards, and a top range of different types of gifts that might just do the trick. Think novels, adult colouring in books, attractive stationery, kids books and more!
- We can help you make your field or practical studies easier. As well as stocking all the required trade tools and practical equipment for health and many VET courses, we also stock Rite in the Rain pens and notebooks that help you take notes and record information in all conditions and all weather.
