ECL300 Approaches to Literacy in the Early Years

This unit introduces students to key theories and issues in literacy. Students studying this unit will develop their knowledge of a range of principles and processes relevant to the acquisition and development of literacy learning and teaching specifically in the early years, including home and community contexts. They will participate in a range of concepts approaches strategies and resources for the teaching and learning of literacy in early years' settings, including play, applicable to approved national and state policies and curriculum frameworks.
